Specialist Counsellor for Vulnerable Youth

The organisation is seeking an experienced and compassionate counsellor to provide specialist support services to children, young people, and their families who have been impacted by violence and neglect.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality counselling interventions, case management, and advocacy services. You will also work closely with other professionals to ensure that clients receive comprehensive care and support.
- Develop and implement effective counselling strategies to address the complex needs of clients.
- Coordinate case management activities, including intake, assessment, case planning, and referral processes.
- Provide client-focused advocacy, liaison, and consultation services to promote positive outcomes.
- A Social Work degree or equivalent qualifications in psychology.
- Proven experience in working with vulnerable populations, including children and families affected by trauma and abuse.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of child protection principles and practices, as well as excellent case management and counselling skills.
