Job Summary
The Australian Client Servicing team provides dedicated support for our clients across Asset Manager and Asset Owner client groups, covering large institutional clients including Sovereign Wealth and Superannuation Funds.
The team works closely with the Relationship Manager to deliver exceptional client experiences.
The Relationship Manager plays a critical role in managing relationships with clients across various services, leveraging knowledge of master custody services to exceed client expectations and add value to the relationship.
This involves being a passionate client advocate with the ability to navigate the global Northern business effectively and efficiently service the client.
This role will report to the Head of Client Services for Asset Owners.
We welcome applications from both Melbourne and Sydney locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manages client relationships who utilize a range of fund administration and custody services.
- Ensures overall client satisfaction by coordinating efforts of service teams, allocating resources to ensure timely delivery and issue-resolution, and effectively communicating client concerns/needs across the organization.
- Develops a comprehensive understanding of client's business, objectives, goals, and market challenges.
- Cultivates strong working relationships with client contacts.
- Demonstrates ability to add value by anticipating possible solutions and partnering with the client to implement.
- Keeps the client informed of emerging issues, products, and services, regulatory/tax changes, and the general institutional trust environment, advising the client of the impact on their business and on our services.
- Cross-sells products/services and participates in developing solutions to client needs, coordinates presentations, brings in experts when necessary, closes the sale, ensures smooth delivery of new services, and communicates emerging needs.
- Manages client profitability, understands the competitive environment, develops pricing strategies, and works with the team to enhance profitability.
About You
- Knowledge of asset servicing and superannuation acquired through related experience.
- Strong awareness of risk to both the client and Northern Trust.
- Analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills required to identify and resolve client issues.
- Evidence of both technical and strategic thinking.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with clients and internal partners.
- Excellent communication skills - negotiation and influence and the ability to explain complex products/processes.
- Proven experience in financial servicing, operations, superannuation with a client servicing background.
Compensation Package: We offer a highly competitive salary of $120,000 per annum, plus additional benefits such as performance bonuses, health insurance, and retirement savings plans. The estimated annual salary may vary based on individual qualifications and experience.
