We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team at Recruitment Expert in Footscray. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing financials of all types, including complex transactions between multiple entities.

This is a unique role, as it may be more accurately defined as 'Client Manager', rather than Senior Accountant. This means that Business Services Managers / Senior Managers are welcome to apply. The successful candidate will be required to work full time in our office during the 6-month probationary period.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Liaise with clients and act as their point of contact, requiring excellent communication skills.
  • Ensure accurate and timely bookkeeping and financial reporting.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and other financial records.
  • Assist with the preparation of tax returns.
  • Adhere to accounting standards and regulations.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.
  • Identify and resolve accounting issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Xero and Xero XPM accounting software.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
