Job DescriptionThis role involves designing and implementing innovative utility solutions tailored to clients' needs, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Design and architect comprehensive solutions integrating various technologies, including grid modernization, renewable energy integration, smart grid technologies and advanced metering infrastructure (AMI).
- Analyze business needs and translate them into technical requirements for utility solutions.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, functional specifications and user stories.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, product managers and vendors to ensure successful implementation and integration of solutions.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in solution architecture within the utility sector.
- Proven experience designing and implementing solutions for electric, gas or water utilities.
- Strong understanding of utility industry protocols, standards (e.g., ANSI, IEC) and regulations.
- Experience with utility-specific software platforms and tools for asset management, customer information systems (CIS) or geographic information systems (GIS).
- Familiarity with smart grid technologies and IoT applications in the utility domain.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications in solution architecture or utility management are preferred.
The estimated salary for this role is around $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
