Role Overview

This role is responsible for the efficient operation of the food and beverage service function to ensure total customer satisfaction. The Food & Beverage Supervisor will be working in a dynamic environment, managing daily operations, and ensuring that all aspects of the food and beverage service meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure efficient, friendly, and professional food & beverage service is provided to all guests.
  • Familiarize yourself with VIP and regular guests to ensure their requests and needs are met.
  • Maintain systems to protect and control food service equipment, recording breakages and conducting regular stock takes.
  • Develop and maintain a weekly cleaning schedule for the food service areas to achieve the highest possible hygiene and cleaning standards.
  • Operate within outlet and hotel liquor licensing guidelines and House Management Policies.
  • Maintain currency of Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification, amendments, and updates and adhere to RSA principles.
  • Greet and welcome guests, assist with enquiries, and restaurant bookings. Assist guests with menu offerings and maximize sales opportunities through knowledge of product and suggestive selling.
  • Check ordered meals on collection from kitchen and deliver to guests promptly to maintain temperature and appearance; ensure items are announced.
  • Assist with preparation of rosters, ensuring suitable and cost-effective employee levels are maintained at all times.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Service-oriented with an eye for detail.
  • Multicultural awareness and able to work with people from diverse cultures.
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrated initiative in a dynamic environment.
  • Self-motivated and energetic.
  • Confident and articulate communication, negotiation, leadership, relationship, and networking skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with all levels of team members.
  • Flexible and able to adapt effectively to change.
