About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Food and Beverage Service Lead to join our team at Manly Pacific, an iconic hotel located in front of the stunning Manly Beach. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and has experience in managing food and beverage operations.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the food and beverage service function to meet total customer satisfaction. This includes:

  • Ensuring efficient, friendly, and professional food and beverage service is provided to all guests.
  • Familiarizing yourself with VIP and regular guests to ensure their requests and needs are met.
  • Setting up systems to protect and maintain control of food service equipment, correctly recording breakages and carrying out regular stock takes.
  • Setting up and maintaining a weekly cleaning schedule for the food service areas to achieve the highest possible hygiene and cleaning standards.
  • Being knowledgeable of and operating within appropriate outlet and hotel liquor licensing guidelines and House Management Policies.
  • Maintaining currency of Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification, amendments, and updates and adhering to RSA principles.
Key Responsibilities

In addition to the above responsibilities, the successful candidate will also be required to:

  • Greet and welcome guests, assist with enquiries, and restaurant bookings. Assist guests with menu offerings and maximize sales opportunities through knowledge of product and suggestive selling.
  • Effectively take orders, ensure accuracy by repeating order(s) to the guests, dockets written clearly and correctly input into the point of sale system.
  • Check ordered meals on collection from kitchen and deliver to guests promptly to maintain temperature and appearance; ensure items are announced.
  • Assist with preparation of rosters, ensuring that suitable and cost-effective employee levels are maintained at all times. Rosters to be authorized by appropriate department head.

Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a food and beverage outlet, and prior experience as a supervisor is a must.
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate (is a must).
  • Strong knowledge of a variety of beverages including beer, wine, spirits, and cocktails.
  • Micros knowledge desirable.

Estimated Salary
