We are seeking a registered nurse to join our team as a mental health nursing specialist, providing exceptional care and support to patients in need.
Job Description
This is a unique opportunity for a registered nurse to transition into a mental health nursing role, with comprehensive training and support provided by our dedicated clinical educators.
You will work closely with consumers, carers, family members, and other professionals to develop skills in risk assessment, mental state assessment, care planning, and knowledge of mental health nursing care and practice.
The ideal candidate will possess well-developed interpersonal skills, be a team player, motivated, and enthusiastic, with a consumer-focused approach.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA as a Division 1 Registered Nurse.
- Australian working rights (Visa holders, please ensure you have the necessary documentation).
- Full COVID-19 and influenza vaccination.
- Willingness to undergo a background check.

Salary Estimate
Based on industry standards and location, we estimate the salary for this role to be around $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Location
This role is based at The Alfred Hospital's Adult Inpatient Units or Community Care Units, or Aged Mental Health Services, located in Melbourne's inner southeast suburbs.
Working Hours
This is a part-time position (0.8 EFT), requiring flexibility to work rotating shifts and occasional overtime.
