A compelling opportunity exists for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join the North East Continuing Care Service (NECCS) in Victoria, Australia. This is a permanent fractional appointment with an estimated salary of $320,000 per annum.
About the DepartmentThe NECCS provides assessment, treatment, and care to consumers in their local community through direct care services, case management, health promotion activities, and community development within a Recovery Focused framework. The service operates during business hours.
About the RoleAs the Consultant Psychiatrist, NECCS, you will provide comprehensive and high-quality evidence-based psychiatric services to consumers and their families or support networks. You will work with a team of professionals to make a difference to consumers impacted by mental health difficulties. This role offers a unique opportunity to have a real impact in meeting the needs of one of our community's most complex and vulnerable cohorts.
Key Responsibilities- Provide psychiatric services to consumers and their families or support networks
- Work collaboratively with a team of professionals to deliver high-quality care
- Foster strong therapeutic relationships with clients
- Support rehabilitation goals using best evidence-based frameworks and assertive case management
To be successful in this role, you must:
- Be a registered Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Hold a Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP), or equivalent
- Have appropriate training and experience applicable to the field of Psychiatry
- Demonstrate a commitment to high-quality patient care
- Demonstrate a commitment to working as a team member with peer medical, junior medical, nursing, and other clinical staff to provide efficient, safe, and quality care across the continuum
- Demonstrate a commitment to teaching, training, and research
