Salary and Benefits

We offer a highly competitive base salary package guide of $80,000 per annum, dependent on experience and qualifications. In addition to your annual salary, you can enjoy discounts on meals and merchandise, access to on-the-job training programs in hospitality, and scope for growth within our organisation.

Job Description

A Kitchen Manager at Wahlburgers is an experienced professional committed to culinary excellence, guest experience, and fostering a winning culture in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

  • Lead and direct all aspects of daily kitchen operations.
  • Oversee the hiring, training, and development of new staff members.
  • Coach and counsel existing staff, focusing on whole-team success.
  • Achieve or exceed budgeted cost centers through effective planning, scheduling, and execution.
  • Maintain our high standards for consistency in recipe and menu item execution.
  • Manage inventory and oversee food and supplies ordering.
  • Supervise scheduling and time-management for team members.
  • Maintain a professional restaurant image, including cleanliness, uniforms, and appearance standards.
  • Ensure restaurant safety, sanitation, and security standards are met at all times.
  • Guarantee a safe and harassment-free environment for all Team Members and Managers.
Critical Skills & Certifications

To be successful as a Kitchen Manager at Wahlburgers, you will require:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience managing kitchens in a high-volume atmosphere.
  • Excellent leadership and motivational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, listening, and communication skills.
  • Ability to inspire cooperation and teamwork through self-confidence, attitude, and enthusiasm.
  • Extensive knowledge of culinary leadership, kitchen operations, and meticulous culinary skills.
  • Knowledge of commercial food preparation equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to manage inventory and allocate responsibilities and resources efficiently.
  • Organised and systematic approach to work, with prioritisation skills.
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Compliance with all necessary certifications.
  • Collaboration with Chef Paul on regional and seasonal specials.
