RMIT University is seeking an experienced Learning Materials Developer to join the College of Design and Social Context.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality learning materials for our courses, ensuring they are engaging, interactive, and meet the needs of our students.

This role involves working closely with academics to convert content from source documents into Canvas pages, creating interactive H5P activities, and formatting/styling completed Canvas pages. Additionally, you will be responsible for generating transcripts, checking courses for outdated content, and reviewing course functionality in the LMS.

Strong communication and project management skills are essential for this role, as you will work collaboratively with a team to deliver high-quality results on time.

To succeed in this position, you should have experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), particularly Canvas, and Microsoft Office. Familiarity with accessibility standards and compliance is also crucial.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing learning materials for online courses
  • Creating interactive content using H5P
  • Converting content from source documents to Canvas pages
  • Formatting and styling completed Canvas pages
  • Generating transcripts
  • Checking courses for outdated content
  • Reviewing course functionality in the LMS
Requirements:

We offer a salary range of $63,000 - $83,000 per annum, plus 11% superannuation, depending on your level of experience.
