Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Learning and Development Specialist to join our team at Metro Trains Melbourne. In this role, you will be responsible for researching, developing, and delivering technical training required to ensure necessary knowledge is transferred to Rolling Stock maintenance staff.

About the Position

">

This permanent full-time position requires a strong background in training and assessment, with proven experience in a Rolling Stock Maintenance Environment or equivalent field. You will work closely with Engineering and Project Teams to acquire the necessary knowledge of X'Trapolis 2.0 train systems.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

">
  • ">
  • Develop comprehensive training course material from Alstom's maintenance manuals, design documents, and training materials provided.">
  • Conduct thorough research and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure effective and accurate training content.">
  • Design and deliver theoretical and practical training courses that meet industry standards.">
  • Support the development of maintenance methods and instructions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.">
  • Structure training courses to mitigate impacts on existing fleet maintenance requirements.">
  • Deliver training to maintenance staff on new train fleets, aligning with training maps and competency profiles.">
  • Provide regular reports and advice on training delivery progress and effectiveness.">
  • Work at multiple locations as required.">

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • ">
  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment – mandatory.">
  • Certificate III in Electrical Trade – mandatory.">
  • Proven experience in a Rolling Stock Maintenance Environment or equivalent field – mandatory.">
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.">
  • Able to work effectively in a diverse team environment.">
  • Experience in developing training programs.">
  • Able to independently manage multiple resources to achieve required outcomes.">
  • Able to utilise analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.">
