The Role
We are seeking a State HSW Manager to oversee the delivery of our HSW strategy for NSW and ACT. As a hybrid role, you will be responsible for building relationships, influencing, coaching, and mentoring a team of 8 WHS Specialists across Sydney, Newcastle, and Canberra, with 12 locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of our HSW Management System.
- Oversee a team of WHS Specialists to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance workplace safety.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor and improve safety performance.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Workplace Health & Safety.
- Extensive experience in Health Safety & Wellbeing, with a proven track record of implementing change.
- Experience working within a large matrix organization.
- Industry experience in health, aged care, or education preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
