Landcare NSW is a leading community-led movement in NSW, representing over 60,000 Landcarers and 3,000 groups. Our mission is to protect, repair, and regenerate the environment, while promoting sustainable practices and community engagement.
Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Assistant Program Manager to join our team and support the delivery of the NSW Landcare Program. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in project management, excellent communication skills, and a passion for environmental conservation.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the Program Manager in delivering the NSW Landcare Program, ensuring timely and budget-friendly outcomes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including Landcare groups, councils, and other partners.
- Coordinate program activities, including surveys, reports, and logistics for state-wide gatherings.
- Provide administrative support, including data entry, record-keeping, and communication.
- Identify and mitigate program risks, maintaining the risk register and escalating concerns to the Joint Management Committee.
- 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in environmental or community development.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in project management software tools and methodologies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Flexibility to attend meetings and travel within NSW.
- 0.5 FTE part-time position with flexible working hours.
