Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Program Manager to join our team and support the delivery of the NSW Landcare Program. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in project management, excellent communication skills, and a passion for environmental conservation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Program Manager in delivering the NSW Landcare Program, ensuring timely and budget-friendly outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including Landcare groups, councils, and community organizations.
  • Coordinate program activities, including surveys, reports, and logistics for state-wide gatherings.
  • Provide administrative support, including data entry, record-keeping, and communication with team members.
  • Identify and mitigate program risks, maintaining the risk register and escalating concerns to the Joint Management Committee.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in environmental or community development.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software tools and methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
  • Flexibility to attend meetings and travel within NSW.
