About the Opportunity

The Collingwood Football Club is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Partnerships Lead to join our Partnerships team. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for leading the account management and service of allocated commercial partners, driving revenue growth through new partnership opportunities, and maximizing business opportunities for the club.

Key Responsibilities
  • Account Management: Manage and service allocated commercial partners, including Premier Partners, Platinum Partnerships, and Major Partnerships, to ensure their objectives and goals are met.
  • Activation and Fulfillment: Activate and fulfill promotions, programs, and contract obligations for allocated commercial partners, including match day activities.
  • Reporting and Evaluation: Prepare mid-season and end-of-season reports, proposals, and evaluations to measure the success of allocated commercial partners.
  • Budget Management: Manage and track allocated commercial partners' budgets to ensure effective financial management.
  • Alignment and Strategy: Align allocated partners' objectives with the objectives of the Collingwood Football Club, driving strategic partnerships and business growth.
Create and Identify New Business Opportunities
  • New Category Partnerships: Identify and pursue new category partnership opportunities to drive revenue growth and expand the club's commercial portfolio.
  • Program Development: Develop and implement programs and assets to enhance the value proposition for commercial partners and drive business growth.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Strong Presentation and Negotiation Skills: Develop and maintain strong relationships with commercial partners, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Commercial Acumen: Demonstrate a deep understanding of commercial partnerships, sponsorship, and business development principles.
  • Administration and Technical Skills: Possess strong administration skills in MS Office, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Develop and maintain effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Contractual Experience: Have experience working with contractual aspects of commercial partnership agreements.
  • Project Management: Possess the ability to project manage specific marketing and commercial programs.
  • Time Management and Budgeting: Demonstrate the ability to work to tight deadlines and within strict budgets.
  • Interest in Sports: Have a genuine interest in sports and the sporting environment.
Key Experience and Qualifications
  • Formal Qualifications: Possess formal qualifications in Sports Marketing, Marketing, Communications, Sales, or a similar discipline.
  • Minimum 5 Years' Experience: Have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a related sponsorship/account management role with a proven track record in account management and relationship building.
