The Director of Philanthropy and Strategic Partnerships will play a critical role in advancing the University of Melbourne's mission to benefit society through education and research. Reporting to the Senior Director Advancement MDHS, this position will develop and drive philanthropy for the faculty's Infectious Disease and Immunity research priorities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic fundraising initiatives to support the AIID philanthropic campaign and other research programs.
- Foster collaborations with academic and professional colleagues to advance the University's mission.
- Lead a team of fundraising professionals to maximize philanthropic income for IDI.
- Cultivate high-value donors and relationships to secure major gifts.
We are seeking a highly experienced and respected principal and major gift philanthropic executive with a track record of leading integrated advancement programs. You will have a proven success in fundraising at the $1M + level, ideally from medical research or higher education, and be well-known within the sector.
Underpinning your knowledge of the development of feasibility testing, systems and models, are your superior relationship building skills, high emotional intelligence and ability to provide high-level, effective leadership and direction to staff inside and outside direct line management.
