About Us:

Oaks Hotels is seeking a highly skilled Sales and Marketing Director to join our team in the scenic Hunter Valley. As a key member of our management team, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth and enhancing brand visibility for Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort and Elysia Wellness Retreat.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned sales professional to lead and motivate a team of sales professionals, focusing on delivering unparalleled guest services and overseeing marketing strategies to enhance brand presence. You will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders, including the Revenue department and Marketing department, to create and implement comprehensive sales plans and forecasts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy: Spearhead the implementation and execution of sales and marketing strategies for Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort and Elysia Wellness Retreat, driving revenue growth and enhancing brand visibility.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee a team of sales professionals, offering strategic guidance, regular coaching, and mentorship to enhance their performance and ensure their growth aligns with company goals.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with the Revenue department to create and implement comprehensive sales plans and forecasts, and work closely with the Marketing department to offer expert guidance and support for brand and marketing initiatives.
  • Social Media: Create, develop, and implement all social media campaigns for Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort and Elysia Wellness Retreat.
  • Performance Assessment: Assess the overall sales performance and market potential of the individual properties, monitoring and evaluating sales performance against targets and taking corrective actions when necessary to address any deviations and ensure goals are met.
  • Budget Management: Develop, oversee, and manage operating budgets (OPEX) for sales activities, ensuring that expenditures are aligned with strategic goals and financial constraints.
  • Representation: Represent Minor Hotels brands at various trade shows and association meetings, showcasing the company's offerings and networking with industry professionals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and sustain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, including clients and partners, to foster collaboration and business opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Senior Sales Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in senior sales management, with a proven track record of success in developing and growing sales strategy.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong financial acumen, with solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Superior attention to detail and time management skills, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Travel Requirements: Availability to travel domestically when required.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
