Position Overview

As a Sales Executive, your primary focus will be on enhancing our position within the mid-market sector. You are expected to exhibit capabilities aligned with thriving in a high-achieving sales environment, particularly in areas such as pipeline management, lead generation, and developing a robust contact network while consistently meeting sales targets.

Team Mission

The Sales Executive team is dedicated to delivering an exceptional sales experience to Sumo Logic's mid-market clientele. This team employs a consultative sales methodology, boasting a proven history of exceeding sales targets, fostering customer satisfaction, and encouraging deeper engagement with our product offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, manage, and sell within a designated geographic area
  • Oversee the complete sales process, from initial prospecting to final closure, to effectively build Sumo Logic's sales pipeline
  • Generate and present precise sales forecasts
  • Conduct product demonstrations utilizing web-based tools for prospects and clients
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure an outstanding experience for potential customers and address their requirements

Qualifications and Skills

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a quota-carrying sales role, particularly in B2B applications; familiarity with on-demand/SaaS, IT Infrastructure Management, or Cloud Security solutions is preferred
  • Demonstrated success in surpassing sales quotas while engaging with technical audiences, including IT operations, Security, and DevOps teams
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with a strong collaborative approach
  • A well-established contact network within the Big Data ecosystem is highly advantageous
  • Proficient user of relevant technologies
