Specialty Sales Overview

Our sales team consists of specialized consultants who provide personalized recommendations and solutions through engaging selling techniques and visually appealing merchandising that captivates guests and enhances their shopping experience.

Teams in Apparel & Accessories, Beauty, and Electronics focus on guest satisfaction while executing tasks that ensure product availability and ease of shopping, including pulling, filling, pricing, setting, staging, and maintaining both the sales floor and backroom.

Role of Specialty Sales Executive Team Leader

This position offers opportunities to:

  • Gain insights into guest service fundamentals and cultivate a guest-first culture within your team.
  • Understand retail business principles, including sales trends, inventory management, and pricing strategies.
  • Plan and manage departmental workloads to meet business objectives and sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

A typical day may involve:

  • Driving overall store sales and understanding your contribution to sales growth.
  • Fostering a guest-centric culture and guiding your team to achieve sales goals.
  • Creating and adjusting schedules based on guest traffic and business needs.
  • Planning merchandising and pricing tasks, including transitions and promotions.
  • Monitoring competitors and utilizing guest feedback to enhance business performance.
  • Working flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
  • Building a knowledgeable and passionate team in Apparel & Accessories, Beauty, and Electronics.
  • Implementing sales training techniques to develop your team.
  • Overseeing backroom processes and ensuring product availability for guests.
  • Leading visual merchandising efforts in relevant areas.
  • Utilizing fitting rooms as an extension of the sales floor.
  • Managing organizational changes and operational improvements.
  • Identifying staffing needs and recruiting talent.

Physical Requirements

Team members should be able to:

  • Access all areas of the building to address guest or team member concerns.
  • Interpret various forms of information and instructions.
  • Handle merchandise efficiently, including lifting items up to 15 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds occasionally.
  • Operate cash registers accurately.
  • Climb ladders as needed.
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
