We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Officer to join our multidisciplinary team in providing early intervention mental health support to young people.

  • As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for clinical oversight, mental health assessments, collaborative care planning, and medication support as part of a progressive model focused on recovery, accessibility, and continuity of care.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychiatric and general medical assessments for young people aged 12–25
  • Support treatment planning, medication management, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate closely with psychologists, care coordinators, and social workers to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Contribute to clinical reviews, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation to support service evaluation activities
Requirements
  • Hold an MBBS or equivalent qualification and registration with AHPRA as a medical practitioner
  • Have experience or interest in youth mental health, general practice, or early intervention
  • Demonstrate a collaborative and person-centred approach to clinical care
  • Be able to work independently in a dynamic team environment
  • Have a strong focus on continuity of care and long-term outcomes
