Commonwealth Bank of Australia's Agency Operations team within the Market Operations business provides Facility Agent services to Corporate and Government clients through Syndicated Agency products, including administration and Security Trustee services.


The Market Operations business is part of the Chief Operating Office (COO), with over 400 Operations Professionals supporting various businesses globally.


About the Role


As a Corporate Loan Administrator in our Agency team, you will provide ongoing support for Corporate Loan administration and deal coordination to institutional & corporate clients, acting as the facility agent. You will pro-actively manage relationships between lenders and borrowers, serving as an intermediary for all instructions, communications, and payments.


You will utilise the LoanIQ system to coordinate and manage multicurrency & AUD facilities, including drawdowns, fees, rollovers, rate setting, payments on loans and guarantees for syndicate lenders, including CBA share. Additionally, you will work closely with CBA's Agency Origination relationship managers to deliver a comprehensive and efficient service to both Syndicate Lenders and borrowers.


Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:



  • Providing end-to-end loan support across Syndicated loans, guarantees, drawdowns, rollovers, re-structures, amendments, fees, and general Agency Lending administration
  • Managing payment functions arising from the loan facilities, including loan drawdowns, repayments, fees, interest collections, and paying agent roles on USPP
  • Processing high-value foreign currency, Swift, and RTGS payments to ensure they are actioned correctly and on time
  • Coordinating amendment requests from clients and stakeholders

What We're Looking For


We're interested in hearing from candidates with experience in Corporate & Institutional Lending within Syndicated or Bi-lateral loans, guarantees, and letters of credit. You should have experience facilitating payments in Foreign Currency (SWIFT) and domestic payments (RTGS & desktop banking applications). Strong working relationships with internal & external stakeholders or clients are essential.


Additionally, you should have:



  • Solid working knowledge of the Loan IQ system and product knowledge of Facility Agreements
  • Commercial focus with strong analytical skills, including understanding and analysing loan and facility agreements
  • Ability to collaborate with team members and contribute to a dynamic working environment, but also work effectively in an autonomous capacity
