About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join MUFG Bank, Ltd., Australia as an Assistant Vice President in Corporate Loans Administration. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing the workflow and completion of all Corporate Loans Administration tasks on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis in accordance with the bank's procedure manuals and operational guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage all operational tasks for Corporate Loans Administration to ensure accurate completion and meet expected timeframes in accordance with the bank's policy and procedures.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and engage with staff to contribute to building more effective and efficient processes.
  • Manage approvals for funding rollovers, drawdowns, repayments, disbursements, and collection of fees for various products and operational transactions.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Australian and Japanese regulations for customer identification requirements as outlined in the bank's Anti-Money Laundering policy for all authorities and variations to authorized signatories.
  • Monitor and confirm daily Suspense Account Reconciliations and monthly reporting.
  • Monitor and confirm daily PROactive Nostro Account Reconciliations.
  • Archive transaction documents as and when required.
  • Build and maintain good working relations and open communications with customers/external counterparties to provide a high level of service and professionalism.
  • Ensure customer inquiries are followed up promptly with satisfactory outcomes.
  • Assign work to staff, provide guidance, support, and ongoing training, monitor quality of work and progress, and provide regular status updates to AVP and VP.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop team members.
  • Build, collaborate, and maintain strong working relations and open communication lines with internal and external stakeholders and provide a high level of service and professionalism.
  • Provide an environment in which all staff are encouraged to contribute and provide regular feedback.

Requirements:

This role requires 3-4 years of experience in a similar or related role within banking/financial services operations, with a sound understanding and reading of Facility Agreements. Basic accounting knowledge is desirable but not essential.

You will have excellent time management and a high level of attention to detail and accuracy to ensure the team performs at a high-performance standard. You will deliver extraordinary customer experiences, collaborate and build partnerships, communicate effectively and professionally. You will also drive for results, lead change, seek continuous improvements, and think strategically. Working well under pressure, you will be flexible and adaptable to change.

You will likely have Tertiary qualifications in a related field. Accounting/Business qualifications will be viewed favorably.
