Are you a skilled banking operations professional looking for a new challenge?

Mars Recruitment is excited to offer an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Manager to join a globally recognised financial institution in their Operations department.

This role will see you working closely with the Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day processing of loan transactions, ensuring they align with market practice, agreements and internal requirements.

You will also have the opportunity to develop the team's capability and lead by example.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loan Transaction Processing: Oversee the processing of loan transactions, including coordination of daily workflow activities and effective checking of transactions completed by team members.
  • Funding Coordination: Coordinate funding for drawdowns and rollovers following procedural checks.
  • Cash Management: Monitor incoming funds to ensure prompt settlement of customer obligations.
  • Invoicing and Fee Calculation: Create invoices for bilateral facilities fees and review fee calculations for syndicated facilities.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, such as AUSTRAC.

Requirements:

  • Operational Experience: Demonstrated operational experience in institutional banking/financial services industry.
  • Loan Operations Knowledge: Solid knowledge and skills in loan operations processing for corporate customers.
  • Bilateral and Syndicated Loans: Exposure to bilateral and/or syndicated loans & corporate guarantees.
  • Payment Systems: Extensive expertise in payment systems, particularly SWIFT.
  • Tertiary Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications are required.

We estimate the salary for this position to be around $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience.
