Position Overview

Reporting to the National HR Manager, this role offers an exciting opportunity for a HR Business Partner to contribute significantly to the HR strategy within GFG Alliance. The successful candidate will be instrumental in executing the HR Business plan while collaborating closely with the local leadership team and the wider HR network.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and maintain strong partnerships to provide HR support and advice throughout the organization;
  2. Deliver operational HR assistance and guidance to both leaders and employees;
  3. Address HR policy-related inquiries from the business;
  4. Assist managers and the recruitment team in attracting, retaining, and onboarding talent in accordance with company guidelines;
  5. Oversee and facilitate the resolution of workplace issues, ensuring effective communication and consultation with relevant parties;
  6. Establish and nurture positive relationships with union representatives;
  7. Engage in consultative meetings and negotiations regarding enterprise agreements;
  8. Contribute to projects and HR deliverables as required;
  9. Advise on the contents of enterprise agreements;
  10. Prepare and present monthly reporting packages for the leadership team;
  11. Guide the business in performance management matters;
  12. Support learning and development initiatives within the organization;
  13. Assist with workforce planning efforts;
  14. Collaborate with the broader HR team as necessary;
  15. Help maintain accurate employee records.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a HR Generalist, including industrial relations experience. A resilient, self-motivated, and results-driven individual is sought.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in a blue-collar work environment;
  • Ability to interpret enterprise agreements;
  • HR experience within a unionized setting;
  • Proficient change management skills with a practical approach to HR;
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders;
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and proficiency in MS Office.
