About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team at IPAR. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with injuries or health conditions to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of clients with diverse needs and develop personalized rehabilitation plans to support their recovery and return to work.
  • Collaborate with employers, medical professionals, and other stakeholders to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and provide expert advice to clients, employers, and other stakeholders to identify suitable employment opportunities and support return to work outcomes.
  • Work across various schemes, including workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, employers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and support throughout the rehabilitation process.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Nursing or Social Work.
  • Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency AHPRA or membership with AASW.
  • Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation industry would be highly regarded.
  • Fabulous communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, employers, and other stakeholders.
  • Compassion, kindness, and empathy are essential qualities for this role.
  • Well-developed time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A current NSW Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance is a must.
