About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team at IPAR. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing occupational rehabilitation services to clients with a range of conditions, both physical and psychological.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of clients and provide individualized occupational rehabilitation services to support their return to health and return to work outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with employers, employees, medical and allied health professionals to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs.
  • Conduct a variety of assessments using your clinical skills, including initial, workplace and vocational assessments to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment and identify suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries or injuries sustained from motor vehicle accidents.
  • Develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs to support employers and employees in reducing the risk of workplace injuries and improving return to work outcomes.
  • Provide education and training to employers and employees on workplace health and safety, injury prevention and return to work strategies.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans that address the physical, emotional and social needs of clients.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or Exercise Physiology.
  • Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or with ESSA plus SIRA Accreditation.
  • Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation industry would be highly regarded.
  • Fabulous communication skills and ability to work effectively with clients, employers and other healthcare professionals.
  • Compassion and kindness, with the ability to empathize with clients and their situations.
  • Well-developed time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A current NSW Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance.
