The Strategic Business Growth Expert plays a vital role in building and maintaining strong broker relationships, driving business performance through retention and new opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain regular contact with brokers within the region to identify, develop, and nurture new business opportunities and assist in the retention of existing relationships.
- Conduct regular interstate travel for broker meetings, events, and conferences.
- Liaise with the Distribution & Engagement Lead to engage with national broker networks and understand their business strategies.
- Collaborate with Underwriting teams to ensure a strong presence and visibility in the region.
- Support underwriting teams and provide proactive assistance for the resolution of broker issues, achievement of regional profit objectives, and renewal retention.
- Engage brokers in metric-driven performance conversations to positively influence business outcomes, raise awareness of propositions, and seek explanations for lost accounts.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of products, coverage levels, and unique selling points compared to competitors' offerings.
- Monitor Arch performance in the region, identify issues, and implement appropriate actions to remediate.
- Gather, analyze, and report market information and broker feedback into the broader business to provide genuine insight into new opportunities.
- Generate new business opportunities by supporting or attending broker events and building new relationships across the region.
- Ensure compliance with key regulatory and risk management responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of AUALA products and market trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with brokers.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
