Koala Holiday Contract Position Overview

We are seeking an exceptional Customer Experience Specialist to join our team at Koala's Moore Park Supacentre in Sydney. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering a confident showcase of the Koala brand, managing operational aspects of the pop-up location, and driving sales through meaningful interactions with customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Brand Representation: Deliver a confident showcase of the Koala brand, communicating our story and values to customers in an engaging and authentic way.
  • Operational Management: Manage all operational aspects of the pop-up location, including opening and closing processes, stock management, and customer follow-ups.
  • Sales and Customer Engagement: Drive sales for all Koala products, including those not on display at the pop-up, through proactive and meaningful interactions with customers.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments in Koala to achieve the best outcomes for our customers and the business.
  • Customer Experience: Deliver exceptional, knock-your-socks-off experiences to customers in a face-to-face retail environment.
  • Store Presentation: Maintain high attention to detail, ensuring our retail space is immaculately presented at all times.
  • Problem-Solving: Adapt to new directions or ideas and proactively solve pain points for the operation or customer experience.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure the space is safe for all visitors (customers, staff, and contractors) at all times by following safety guidelines and reporting any issues promptly.
  • Product Knowledge: Be comfortable with manual handling, assembly of furniture, and demonstrating features to customers.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in a retail or face-to-face customer service environment.
  • Availability: Comfortable working part-time hours in Moore Park Supacentre.
  • Customer Service: Exceptional customer service skills with a natural ability to engage and energize a room.
  • Empathy: Empathetic approach is a must at every touchpoint, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Communication: Near-perfect grammar, English written and verbal skills.
  • Adaptability: Experience working in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
