Job Summary

Aurecon is seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Project Manager to provide business leadership of all aspects of a global payroll implementation project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership, guidance, and direction to the project team ensuring the successful implementation of the global payroll system.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring adherence to quality standards, delivery milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Maintain effective relationships and communication with key stakeholders throughout the project.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues effectively, ensuring proactive contingency planning and timely resolution.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet defined quality standards and comply with relevant regulations and best practices.
  • Develop and execute change management strategies to facilitate smooth project implementation and adoption of the global payroll system across different geographical locations.
  • Produce regular project progress reports, status updates, and other project documentation as required by the organization and project stakeholders.
  • Lead and mentor a cross-functional project team, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to ensure optimal team performance and project success.
  • Be an advocate to drive simplicity across the payroll function and transform from old ways of working.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in project management, mandatory in the payroll domain, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong knowledge of global payroll processes, systems, and regulations, with experience in international payroll implementation being highly desirable.
  • Experience with Ramco and Workday HCM highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, and driving results.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset and the ability to make sound decisions in a complex and fast-paced environment.
  • Professional project management certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2) are highly desirable.
  • Experience working in a global or multicultural organization would be an advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, or a related field is required. A postgraduate qualification in project management is advantageous.
