About the Role

In this role, you will report to a highly supportive and collaborative Payroll Manager. You will utilise your payroll knowledge and skillset to perform full-function payroll, including processing leave calculations, long service, maternity, and parental leave. You will also demonstrate high-volume payroll processing, strong payroll system knowledge, and interpret complex employment agreements and awards.

Duties:

  • Perform end-to-end payroll processing, including superannuation and tax
  • Process leave calculations, long service, maternity, and parental leave
  • Demonstrate high-volume payroll processing and strong payroll system knowledge
  • Interpret complex employment agreements and awards
  • Undertake terminations and redundancies
  • Demonstrate strong customer service skills and provide effective communication to colleagues
  • Manage the payroll query inbox and respond to payroll-related queries

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience working in a large and complex payroll environment
  • Perform full-function payroll, including superannuation and tax
  • Experience using payroll software, such as Chris21
  • Strong understanding of employment agreements and awards
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on customer service
  • Proven ability to develop effective partnerships and find solutions to process inefficiencies
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and develop work plans to achieve deadlines
  • Ability to work well within a team environment
