About the Role

In this role, you will report to a highly supportive and collaborative Payroll Manager. Utilizing your payroll knowledge and skillset, you will perform full-function payroll, including processing leave calculations, long service, maternity, and parental leave. You will also demonstrate high-volume payroll processing, strong payroll system knowledge, and interpret complex Employment Benefits Agreements (EBAs) and Awards.

Duties:

  • Perform end-to-end payroll processing, including superannuation and tax
  • Process leave calculations, long service, maternity, and parental leave
  • Demonstrate high-volume payroll processing
  • Demonstrate strong payroll system knowledge
  • Interpret complex EBAs and Awards
  • Undertake terminations and redundancies
  • Demonstrate strong customer service to the highest level
  • Offer effective, clear, and supportive communication to colleagues when necessary
  • Adhere to all payroll-related queries and manage the payroll query inbox

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience working within a large and complex payroll environment
  • Perform full-function payroll, including superannuation and tax
  • Experience using payroll software, such as Chris21
  • Strong understanding of EBAs and Awards
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on customer service
  • Proven ability to develop effective partnerships to proactively find solutions and efficiencies in processes
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and develop work plans to achieve deadlines
  • Ability to work well within a team environment
