Transformative Claims Role in Financial Lines


AIG is reimagining insurance solutions to make a bigger difference in the world. As a Complex Claims Examiner in Financial Lines, you will play a crucial part in this transformation, leveraging your technical expertise and problem-solving skills to deliver exceptional customer service and drive business growth.


The Financial Lines Claims team is a global leader in property casualty networks, and as a key member, you will manage a portfolio of complex claims, including professional indemnity, D&O, and management liability claims. Your primary focus will be on reducing claims costs, providing exceptional customer service, and understanding the financial impact of claims on the business.


The role involves handling claims with a particular emphasis on negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and ADR skills on higher-value complex claims. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to effectively direct claims strategy, manage vendor and litigation, and ensure adherence to best practice procedures for financial lines complex claims.


What You'll Need to Succeed



  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise workload and diary management
  • Well-developed knowledge in financial lines technically complex claims, with policy language skills enabling accurate and consistent policy wording interpretation
  • Thorough knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements for financial lines, with experience in effectively following up on recommendations from technical claims audits
  • Ability to contribute effectively within a team environment, with a strong focus on collaboration and stakeholder management
