Head of Financial Lines Broking Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to drive growth and specialisation in our national team.

About the Role

This is a senior leadership position with full P&L responsibility, offering a competitive salary package up to $250k + superannuation. The successful candidate will have expertise in Financial & Professional Lines, including strategic placements, schemes, affinity programs, and complex referrals.

The role involves leading and managing a national team of up to 10 brokers, driving performance and growth for the team, and ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and statutory requirements across broker functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the national broking operations for financial lines risks
  • Achieve growth and expansion of the team to achieve strong market perception and branding
  • Operate as a specialised subject matter expert across Financial & Professional lines products to support teams on the ground with technical queries, mentorship, and development
  • Develop and implement integrated leadership strategies to execute on national business goals
  • Achieve desired growth and profit targets with autonomy to execute strategies to achieve this
Requirements
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with both local and interstate teams
  • Strong technical understanding across financial & professional lines with exposure to high-level, technical, and complex risk management across domestic and UK markets
  • Strategic and financial acumen to facilitate autonomous operation of business unit
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships across internal and external stakeholders
