Job Title: Director of Sales and Marketing

At Accor Hotels, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Sales and Marketing to join our team at Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire.

About the Role:

The Director of Sales and Marketing will be responsible for leading the sales and marketing efforts of the hotel, with a focus on achieving targeted room revenues, average rate, closed group business room nights, catering revenues, and Rev PAR index.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the property's reactive and proactive sales efforts
  • Oversee the sales function in the achievement of targeted room sales and catering
  • Develop and implement property-wide annual strategic marketing plan
  • Work closely with the DORM to maximize rate during periods of compression and occupancy and Rev PAR gain during soft periods
  • Maintain successful performance by increasing revenues, controlling expenses and providing a return on investment for the owner and the brand
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years sales leadership experience in a large full service hotel
  • Diploma, Hotel and Restaurant Management or Business Degree would be an asset
  • Superior written and verbal communications skills
  • Demonstrated skills in leading a team and selling in a luxury environment, with a pattern of exceptional results
