Job Description

Job Summary:

Sika is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join our team. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with existing customers, as well as identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service and Support: Provide exceptional customer service and support to existing customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, developing and executing sales strategies to achieve targets and budgets.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of Sika's products and services, ensuring you can effectively communicate their value to customers.
  • Communication and Liaison: Liaise and communicate with customers, sales teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless sales processes and customer satisfaction.
  • Market Information: Provide market information to the Sales Manager to inform sales strategies and business decisions.
  • Stock Management: Ensure adequate stock levels and obtain stock orders at retail locations to meet customer demands.
  • Call Cycle Management: Complete all call cycles on schedule, recording activities in Salesforce to track progress and performance.
  • Merchandising: Undertake merchandising stock in stores as needed to maintain visual appeal and customer engagement.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and maintain quality relationships with key retail distribution customers to grow Sika's market share.
  • Support and Development: Support all Sika retail distribution business activities, including trade breakfasts and promotional events, to drive sales and customer engagement.
  • Training and Development: Identify customer training opportunities and support with training programs to enhance customer knowledge and satisfaction.
  • Performance Reporting: Prepare and present monthly activity summaries to the manager to track progress and performance.
  • Compliance: Comply with sales, pricing, and expense policies to ensure ethical and responsible sales practices.
  • Travel: Regular travel to customer sites, including regional travel, to meet with customers and drive sales growth.

Qualifications:

  • Customer Service and Relationship Management: Excellent customer service and relationship management skills to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Business Development and Sales: Ability to develop business presentations and sales information with the sales team to drive sales growth.
  • Liaison and Communication: Comfortable liaising with all decision-makers and working with B2B and Channel Distribution to ensure seamless sales processes.
  • Team Player: Competent, team player, reliable, energetic, and capable of working autonomously with a strong marketing and sales aptitude.
  • Education and Experience: University or Trade degree OR minimum of 3 years' experience in an Industrial Market Field.
  • Communication and Relationship-Building: Excellent communication and customer relationship-building skills to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, or SAP to manage sales processes and customer data.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge and previous merchandising experience in a related industry (desirable).
