This role leads Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) initiatives in the Asia Pacific region, including Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, and emerging markets. The EHS leader develops and implements local and global programs according to jurisdictional requirements within the region.

The Senior Manager EHS forms partnerships with leaders and property management representatives to identify workplace safety risks. They consult on day-to-day operations, emergency response procedures, ergonomics, risk assessments, incident reporting, and other EHS programs.

The incumbent knows, interprets, and applies applicable laws and regulations pertaining to workplace safety and supporting programs. They collaborate with various departments, including Workplace Services, Global Security, Commercial, Technical Operations, Legal/Compliance, Human Resources, and Compensation/Benefits.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and administer an proactive EHS management system and program.
  • Lead tracking, analysis, and assessment of global EHS metrics, advising management on impacts and improvements.
  • Provide expert advice on WHS matters, emerging issues, and organisational impacts.
  • Oversee region-wide accident and incident investigations.
  • Play an active role in the Global EHS team.
  • Proactively lead regional risk management.
  • Lead workers compensation and return to work programs.
