The Role

This is a fixed-term contract until 2028. The position is based in Bendigo.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with peers to develop the skills, expertise, and/or applied knowledge of aged care staff and carers to understand the person living with dementia and provide best practice support and care
  • Support the implementation of recommendation plans on the ground, utilizing modeling and coaching techniques, and seek guidance from Team Leader, Dementia Consultant, and Senior Consultant as required
  • Facilitate and support the trial and implementation of brokerage items with clients and their carers, and seek guidance from Team Leader, Dementia Consultant, and Senior Consultant as required

What We Need From You

  • Strong organizational abilities, including effective time management and ability to prioritize in a busy work environment and competing demands
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence in customer service principles, including conflict resolution, to ensure the consistent provision of exceptional service to internal and external customers
  • A current driver's license and safe driving record
  • Willingness to travel and work intrastate and interstate to support the delivery of DC services
  • Qualification in a relevant field; Allied Health assistant, Diversional Therapy, Enrolled Nursing (EN), Aged Care, Cert III or IV in Individual Support / Leisure and Health or similar highly desirable
