About the Role

The Assistant Director, Global Sales and Conversion will play a key role in developing and implementing the acquisition and conversion strategy for RMIT University. This includes leadership of vocational education, undergraduate and postgraduate sales, as well as management of the sales and enquiries management team and the conversion team.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in sales and student recruitment, with a strong understanding of sales, conversion, customer service and customer acquisition challenges within service organisations. They will also have highly developed analytical, numeracy and strategic planning skills, with the ability to deliver financial uplift and cost savings through business and process simplification.

The Assistant Director will work closely with various internal and external senior stakeholders, including the management team, Associate Deans, Colleges, Schools and colleagues within Global Marketing, Admissions and Student Recruitment to secure, nurture and enhance the sales pipeline conversion from enquiry to enrolment.

This is a strategic leadership role that requires a high degree of autonomy and the ability to initiate and lead service delivery in a challenging and dynamic environment.

Key Selection Criteria
  • Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Education, Sales or related field and/or equivalent relevant experience in a large services organisation.
  • Extensive and relevant sales and student recruitment expertise with substantial experience within a large and complex organisation.
  • Highly developed analytical, numeracy and strategic planning skills including the proven ability to deliver financial uplift and deliver cost savings through business and process simplification.
  • Strong leadership qualities with demonstrated capacity to initiate and lead service delivery in a challenging and dynamic environment.
  • Understanding of sales, conversion, customer service and customer acquisition challenges within service organisations and a capacity to conceive, plan and implement product related strategies for various audiences.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and excellent communications skills including the ability to produce plans, reports and budgets.
