Ambition is a leading provider of industrial services, seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure Leader to join their team for a 6-month contract with the potential for a permanent position.

Estimated Salary:$120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience

Job Description:

This Infrastructure Leader will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful completion of major projects across core operations, cloud services, and networking.

  • Leverage extensive infrastructure experience to lead key projects involving core operations, cloud services, and networking.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for infrastructure-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining business continuity.
  • Closely collaborate with IT team members, stakeholders, and vendors to align infrastructure initiatives with overall business objectives.
  • Maintain and update comprehensive documentation of infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Conduct Return on Investment (ROI) analysis and reporting to evaluate the effectiveness of infrastructure investments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead and manage multiple infrastructure projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and meeting client expectations.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide expert-level support for infrastructure-related issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, stakeholders, and vendors, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures, and provide regular reporting on project progress and ROI.

Requirements:

  • Strong expertise in infrastructure technologies, including servers, storage, networking, and cloud services (preferably Azure).
  • Ideal experience managing a small team across infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in virtualisation technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • In-depth understanding of networking concepts, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, and network security.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
