About the Role

As a Grade 2 Social Worker at Austin Health, you will provide clinical social work services to inpatients across one or more of our sites. Your regular day will involve working clinically with patients, attending family meetings and non-clinical meetings, and undertaking duties that support the social work department and its operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply your Social Work knowledge and skills to assess, treat, and plan patient discharge
  • Provide counseling to patients and families
  • Supervise Grade 1 Social Workers
  • Supervise Social Work students
  • Participate in quality improvement, service improvement, and/or research

Requirements

  • Degree in Social Work
  • Experience in a hospital or health-related setting
  • Ability to work and contribute to team culture and work within a multidisciplinary environment
