Clinical Mental Health Specialist

Austin Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Mental Health Specialist to join our North East Crisis Assessment and Treatment Services (NECATS) team on a permanent full-time basis (part-time optional).
As a Clinical Mental Health Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical assessment and treatment options to individuals in crisis. You will work closely with local service providers and other specialist mental health services to provide a comprehensive and consumer-focused approach to care.
The role offers a unique opportunity to utilise your specialist assessment and brief crisis intervention skills, as well as clinical leadership and support to members of the team. You will also have the opportunity to network with stakeholders and carers, and participate in quality improvement activities.
Required skill set and qualifications include current registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) with 5-7 years' experience in a clinical mental health setting, engaging in enhanced mental health/risk assessment and management, well-developed communication skills, networking, and interpersonal skills.
