Seeking an experienced Senior Financial Project Manager to lead our team in delivering high-quality financial services. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing project financial compliance, reviewing and reconciling project Work In Progress (WIP) balances, and ensuring smooth financial operations from set-up to completion.

About the Role
  • Estimated salary: AU$ 87,500 - AU$ 92,500 per annum
  • Location: Sydney CBD NSW 2000 with flexibility to work from home 1-2 days a week

The successful candidate will have experience within a similar role, understanding of how projects work from set-up to tracking, billing, and revenue recognition. You will also have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and management experience is not essential but you should be comfortable leading and mentoring junior team members.

We are seeking someone who has a passion for project finance, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively. If you have experience with using ERP systems and timesheeting software, Power BI, and full working rights in Australia, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project financial compliance in NetSuite
  • Review and reconcile project WIP balances weekly
  • Assist project managers with financial queries
  • Project costings and revenue recognition
  • Data analysis and reporting on billing and trends
  • Responding to complex billing queries and problem-solving
