Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Therapeutic Practitioner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring quality early intervention and prevention parenting programs across diverse communities experiencing vulnerabilities.

The ideal candidate will have a degree qualification in Social Work, Welfare, Community Development or related field, or equivalent high-level sector knowledge and skills attained through previous appointments, service, and study/development.

  • Establish partnerships with stakeholders in Melton and Brimbank, including Maternal & Child Health Services
  • Attend relevant networking meetings and oversee all networking meetings attended by all staff
  • Assist team leader with day-to-day operations of the program
  • Provide secondary consults to practitioners regarding children with particular focus on risk and trauma
  • Provide ongoing education and training to staff that is child focused
  • Support practitioners to develop new evidence-based parenting workshops and webinars based on feedback from the community
  • Ensure practitioners follow case management procedure and case note policy to high standard

This is a permanent part-time position, 26.6 hours per week, based in Sunshine, VIC. Salary and conditions are in accordance with SCHADS Level 6 Award.

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • A degree qualification in Social Work, Welfare, Community Development or related field
  • Relevant experience in Social Service environment
  • Relevant experience in supervising staff
