Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled professional to undertake assessments of parenting capacity and develop interventions that support family functioning. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in undertaking assessments and implementing appropriate interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with and provide an intensive outreach service to families referred from Child Protection
  • Undertake comprehensive in-home assessments using appropriate assessment tools
  • Develop tailored interventions that consider the family's current level of skill and capacity to make changes
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The successful candidate will possess relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, or another equivalent field. They will also demonstrate a sound understanding of adolescent, child, and infant developmental needs, as well as excellent communication skills.

Key Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or another equivalent field
  • Demonstrated extensive experience in undertaking assessments of parenting capacity
  • Excellent understanding of the legislative requirements of the Children, Youth and Families Act
