Job Overview

This role focuses on cultivating and maintaining strategic partnerships with key clients to drive business expansion and profitability. Key account managers play a pivotal part in developing and executing comprehensive business plans, conducting regular reviews, and providing insightful management information and consultative analysis to clients.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement tailored business strategies for individual clients
  • Collaborate with clients to establish and achieve mutually beneficial revenue targets, forecasts, and objectives
  • Foster strong client relationships through consistent communication and engagement
  • Manage retendering and contract renegotiation processes as needed
  • Ensure seamless onboarding of new clients

Key Requirements:

  • Professional presentation and representation of the brand
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills with potential clients
  • Able to sell consultatively and make recommendations to prospects and clients
  • Drive profitability by analyzing market trends, client change management, and return on investment
  • Excellent relationship building and communication skills

Working with the Team:

  • Collaborate with preferred technology suppliers to identify client opportunities
  • Thorough understanding of proprietary products
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of products and Prezi presentation software

Other Responsibilities:

  • Conduct annual staff appraisals with the Head of Sales
  • Ensure market intelligence is shared with the Head of Sales
  • Proactively present company solutions and products to the market

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Demonstrated business development achievements
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and sales reporting experience
  • Strong attention to detail and time management
  • Ability to self-manage and prioritize tasks
  • Technical expertise

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Propose strategy and plan for current and future year's sales targets / budgets
  • Implement Annual Sales Business Plan
  • Sales follow-up on previous unsuccessful tender bids
