Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Specialist to join our team at BaptistCare. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting residents to maintain optimal functional abilities and maximize their independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality interventions with residents, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating physiotherapy treatments and programs.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that prioritize the physical and emotional well-being of residents.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and clinical supervision to the Lifestyle Coordinator and Therapy and Leisure Partners to ensure the needs of residents are met in accordance with their care plans.
- Model enablement of residents and provide direction and assistance to other staff members in performing their duties.
- Complete comprehensive assessments and regular reviews to identify residents' physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
- Build trusting relationships with individual residents based on dignity and respect to optimize cooperation and communication.
- Current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist.
- An understanding and appreciation of contemporary Occupational Therapy practice and issues in aged care.
- An ability to collaborate, negotiate, and contribute toward a multi-disciplinary team approach to care planning and delivery.
- An ability to relate to older people with empathy, understanding, and affording dignity and respect.
- Willingness to obtain or provide proof of up-to-date Influenza & Covid-19 Vaccinations.
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical.
- Willingness to obtain a National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check.
