Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in Albany, WA. As an Occupational Therapist with IPAR, you will play a vital role in providing occupational rehabilitation services to clients with a range of conditions, both physical and psychological. Your primary responsibility will be to support clients in achieving return to health and return to work outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Case management, including developing and implementing individualized treatment plans;
- Applying clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes;
- Working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs;
- Collaborating with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals to achieve optimal outcomes;
- Working across various schemes, including workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs;
- Assisting clients with injuries or health conditions to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes;
- Completing assessments using clinical skills, including initial, workplace, and vocational assessments to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment, and identify suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries or injuries sustained from motor vehicle accidents.
- A qualification in Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, or Physiotherapy;
- Registration with either AHPRA, ASORC, ESSA, AASW, or relevant governing body;
- Previous experience working in the Occupational Rehabilitation industry would be highly regarded;
- Fabulous communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders;
- Compassion, kindness, and empathy are essential qualities for this role;
- Well-developed time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple caseloads;
- A current valid Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance is a must.
