Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Reservations Coordinator to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing guest reservations, responding to inquiries, and ensuring a seamless booking experience. Your primary objective will be to maximize room occupancy and revenue through effective communication, accurate information dissemination, and personalized assistance.

  • This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and can handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

You will work closely with other departments to ensure guest requests and special requirements are accommodated. It is essential that you have full working rights in Australia without restrictions.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Process and confirm guest room reservations promptly and accurately.
  2. Provide guests with information about room availability, rates, and hotel facilities.
  3. Maintain an updated and organized reservation system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  4. Assist in managing and updating the hotel's database of guest information.
  5. Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure guest requests and special requirements are accommodated.
  6. Respond to guest inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
  7. Handle cancellations, modifications, and amendments to existing reservations.
  8. Monitor and maximize room occupancy by utilizing effective upselling and cross-selling techniques.
  9. Prepare daily reports and summaries of reservations, occupancy rates, and revenue forecasts for management review.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Full working rights in Australia without restrictions.
  • Prior experience working in a Front Office at a luxury hotel is preferred.
  • Experience in Opera is preferred.
  • RSA Certification Required.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and going above and beyond to personalize guest experiences.
  • Impeccable grooming standards and good personal hygiene.
  • An organized approach, ability to handle large amounts of information at once and deal with various requests simultaneously.
  • Good communication and writing skills; Fluency in conversational English.
