About the Role

As a driven Agronomist, you will be responsible for developing strong customer relationships in the Kimba region of South Australia.

You will work closely with key clients to provide superior agronomic advice and inputs, focusing on broadacre agronomy and crop monitoring.

  • Share information related to environmental and seasonal conditions affecting crop production.
  • Perform soil testing and study other factors affecting production to provide sound fertiliser, nutrient, and soil recommendations.

The role offers exposure to a broad range of horticulture/broadacre cropping, allowing you to gain expertise in multiple areas.

You will conduct field demonstrations and trial work for product development in conjunction with key suppliers, as well as work collaboratively with branch staff to drive promotions, merchandising, and sales performance.

About You

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A deep understanding of agronomic practices and application, preferably broadacre and/or pasture experience.
  • A minimum 2-3 years of experience building and ensuring successful partnerships with customers, delivering appropriate agronomic advice and services.
  • A history of success in executing sales outcomes using your specialist knowledge of fertiliser, seed, and chemical products and application applicable to those crops.

You should also demonstrate excellent negotiation, influencing, and communication skills, as well as a driver's licence. A forklift licence is advantageous but not essential.
