Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child/Adult Protective Services Specialist to join our team at the State of Hawai'i. As a key member of our Child Welfare Services Branch, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and vulnerable adults in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough investigations into allegations of child and adult abuse and neglect
  • Develop and implement primary treatment plans to address the needs of individuals and families
  • Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders to provide comprehensive support services
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to individuals and families in crisis
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry developments
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as social work, psychology, or human services
  • At least one and a half years of progressively responsible experience in a related field
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
